The South Effingham Mustangs (27-10) and Pope Greyhounds (28-10) will settle their Class AAAAAA quarterfinal baseball series at 1 p.m. today at The Corral.

The finale of the best-of-three set was rained out Wednesday.

Today's showdown was necessitated by a split Tuesday. South Effingham won a see-saw opener 9-8. Pope rebounded to win the nightcap 9-3.

The winner will host Lassiter next week.
