Wednesday afternoon's Class AAAAAA quarterfinal baseball series finale at South Effingham was rained out.

The Mustangs and Pope Greyhounds will try again Thursday at an undetermined time. School officials and the GHSA are discussing options.

South Effingham won the opener Tuesday 9-8. Pope rebounded to win the nightcap 9-3.
