Bluffton tops Lady Mustangs

Jasmine Blackshear scored 17 points as three Bluffton (S.C.) Lady Bobcats scored in double figures in a 51-40 win over South Effingham on Saturday morning in the Bobcat Classic.

The win was the third this season for Bluffton over the Lady Mustangs.

Candice Kennedy led the Lady Mustangs (4-9) with 12 points, and Whitney Jones added 10. Katie Durrence scored six points, Iesha Reese had five points, Katherine Perrin scored four, Layne Graf had two points and Ciara Knowles had one point.

Riva Jackson and Amanda Thompson each had 10 points for Bluffton.

South Effingham returns to Region 3-AAA play Friday at St. Vincent’s Academy and visits in-county rival Effingham County on Saturday.
