Brennan ties for 34th at GSJA Jr. Championship

Rincon’s Ben Brennan finished tied for 34th at the Georgia State Golf Association’s Junior Championship, held Monday-Wednesday at Brunswick Country Club.

Brennan fired a 9-over 225 for the tournament. He finished with 10 birdies and one eagle, and he birdied the first hole Monday to start at 1 under.

After an opening round 77, Brennan posted an even-par 72 Tuesday and shot 4 over in the final round.

Charles Huntziger of Duluth shot a 7-under 65 on the final day to finish at 10-under par, one shot ahead of Griffin’s Tye Waller. Seventy players made the cut. Trent Dickerson of Guyton shot 81-83 over the first two rounds and did not qualify for the final round.
