The Islands YMCA gymnastics team took part in the National Gymnastics championship in Toledo, Ohio, and all 22 competitors finished in the top 10 in their respective divisions.

Jill Conway and Shannon Harris each had a first-place in level 7. Harris posted a 36.35 in the all-around, along with a 9.475 on the uneven bars. Conway posted a 9.3 on the vault.

Melissa Villareal had a third-place in level 6, with an all-around total of 34.425 and a 9.1 on floor exercises.

Lily McIncrow had a first-place in level 5, compiling a 38.3 in the all-around. She had a 9.6 each in the vault and uneven bars, a 9.45 in the beam and 9.65 in the floor. Lane Vacala and May Wadman each posted a second-place finish in level 5. Vacala had a 38.15 in the all-around, with a best of 9.825 in the vault. Wadman had an all-around score of 36.825.

Taylor Schwarz, at 36.375 in the all-around, had a third-place, Alannah Grandy (36.00 in the all-around) was fourth, posting a 9.625 in the vault, Hannah Cullen had a fifth-place and Mollly Waldman had a ninth-place.

In level 4, Mallory Rabinett had a first-place, Callie Kanoy and Sydney Orr each had a second, Abbey Greene took a third, Hannah Swanner had a fourth-place, Jessica Schwarz had a fifth-place finish, Emma Blesset had a sixth and Suzanna Knight and Dominique McKenzie each had a ninth.

In level 3, Sydney Helton and Chloe Sells each had a first-place, and Maya Williams had a fourth-place finish.
