Josh Reddick (Pawtucket Red Sox) — A seven-game hitting streak has raised Reddick’s average to a season-best .266 — just before major league rosters can be expanded to 40.
 
In the streak, Reddick is on a 17-for-34 tear with five home runs and 12 RBIs in that stretch. Reddick went 5-for-5 against Buffalo last Tuesday, a night after hitting two homers against Buffalo. His OPS for the last 10 games is a staggering 1.291.
 
For the season, Reddick has 16 homers and 62 RBIs. He has 27 doubles and four triples, and his OPS is up to .768. Since the all-star break, Reddick is hitting .368 with nine homers and 26 RBIs and for August, he’s hitting .357 with eight home runs and 23 RBIs.
 
Austin Chambliss (Pensacola Pelicans) — The reliever is 4-1 with a 4.15 earned run average. He has three saves in 21 games. In 26 innings, he has 24 strikeouts while walking 11 and allowing 23 hits. 
 
Pensacola’s regular season ended Saturday, since their Sunday affair with Fort Worth was canceled. The Pelicans will host Shreveport-Bossier in the first game of the their South Division playoff series beginning today.

Frank Manker, Dontre Washington (Shorter College) — The two freshmen from South Effingham did not play in Shorter’s season-opening 37-7 loss to NCAA Division II No. 12-ranked West Alabama. Manker is a slotback and Washington is a defensive back for the Hawks.
