Josh Reddick (Oakland Athletics) — A hyperextended right knee has the right fielder on the disabled list. He is eligible to return June 18, when the A’s host the Rangers and just before Reddick’s former team, the Boston Red Sox, come in for a four-game series. Reddick is hitting .214 for the season with four home runs and 22 RBIs. He has three doubles and three triples.


JB Wendelken (Winston-Salem Dash) — Wendelken had his worst outing of the season Wednesday, giving up eight runs, only two earned, on 10 hits in 2 2/3 innings against Carolina. He also gave up two home runs after allowing only five all season. For the year, he is 4-6 with a 4.03 earned run average, having fanned 57 and walked 10 in 67 innings. He has pitched in 12 games, all starts, and has allowed 79 hits.
