The Rincon under-8 Flea girls all-stars won the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association’s Class B state softball title, held in Cordele.

Rincon opened with a 41-1 win over host Crisp County before beating Lee County 14-1. Rincon advanced to the championship round after a 13-4 victory over Murray County.

Moultrie-Colquitt County won four straight games in the loser’s bracket to make the finals and forced a decisive game with a 13-1 triumph over Rincon. But Rincon held on for an 8-7 win in the championship game to win the state title. Shelby Aiken's two-out, two-run single with the bases loaded provided the difference, giving Rincon its first GRPA state championship.
