AASU honors Twibell with ROTC award

SAVANNAH — David Twibell of Guyton, a student at Armstrong Atlantic State University, was honored during Armstrong’s 2013 Army ROTC award recognition ceremony in Savannah. Twibell received the Vietnam Veterans of America Award and the ROTC Honors Award.


Each year, Armstrong celebrates the most elite cadets who have achieved distinguished military and academic success. More than 20 cadets were recognized at this year’s ceremony for displaying Army ROTC values of courage, gallantry, knowledge and self-sacrifice.


Armstrong Atlantic State University, part of the University System of Georgia, offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate academic programs in the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Science and Technology, the College of Education and the College of Health Professions. Armstrong serves approximately 7,500 students at its main campus in Savannah and a regional center in Hinesville.
