Jessica Smart has been chosen as “Parent of the Month” for January at Rincon Elementary School. She has one son, Antonio Lexie, who is in second grade.

Smart focuses on being the best parent that she can be and doing whatever she can to help her child succeed. When asked to describe her family in three sentences she stated the following: “We encourage each other to put God first”; “My family is very caring”; and “My family has a lot of great morals and values.”

She thinks that spending quality time with your child and being patient is what makes her a good parent. Smart’s ambition for her son is for him to finish school and follow his dreams. She states that “overall, I just want him to enjoy his childhood and to always put God first in his life.”
