Bill and Maryanne Whatley were honored with a reception celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on April 7 at the Memorial Chapel of First Baptist Church of Rincon.

The reception was hosted by their daughter, Gay Chiariello and her sons, Joey, Andrew and Nicholas.

The couple was married on March 23, 1957 in Rochelle, where they met and attended high school together.
