Mrs. Bertha Pinkney Gaines will be celebrating her 102nd birthday. The widow of Frank Gaines, a World War II veteran, and the mother of 10 children of which seven proceeded her in death.

Gaines resides in Clyo with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Garvin Jr. She is a member of Union Spring Methodist Church Inc. in Clyo, where she is the mother of the church.

She was born March 21, 1906, to Lillian and Henry Pinkery.

Let’s all wish Gaines a happy birthday along with her remaining children: Mrs. Pearline Garvin and James E. Gaines Sr. of Clyo and Edith Palmer and Mary L. Cooke of Savannah, the large number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
