Mr. Sidney Gnann will celebrate his 100th birthday this Sunday at the activities center of the Lowman Home in White Rock, S.C. at 2 p.m.

Mr. Gnann was born in Stillwell as one of six children of Walter A. and Hortensia Shearouse Gnann. He is the last living child of that family. He graduated from Newberry College in Newberry, S.C. and married Prema Lever.

Mr. Gnann was a professor at Georgia Tech after serving in the Navy as a lieutenant commander. He is very active and reads many books. He also plays the violin frequently at his church services.
