First Baptist Church of Rincon will show family-friendly, Christian movies each Sunday night at 6 p.m. from May 29 through June 26 (except Father’s Day) in the church’s Memorial Chapel. Each film is free of charge, and free refreshments will be provided. Seating is provided in the chapel, but families are also welcome to bring their own blankets or lawn chairs if they prefer. This year’s films are:
May 29: “Letters to God.” The touching story of a boy with cancer who mails letters to God, which changes the life of the mailman who receives them.

June 5: “The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry.” Set in 1970, the story of 12-year old boys whose lives are changed when they meet a 75-year-old man who shares his lessons of faith.

June 12: “One Night with the King.” A dramatic retelling of the Biblical story of Esther.

June 19: Father’s Day — no film.

June 26: “Pilgrim’s Progress: Journey to Heaven.” John Bunyan’s classic allegory about the journey of the Christian life.
