Lord, teach us to pray seminar

How, when, where and why did Jesus pray? What can we learn from His prayer life that will help us in our own prayers? What are some of the barriers that prevent us from having a good prayer life?

Find answers to these and other questions about prayer at the ‘Lord Teach Us to Pray’ weekend seminar to be held at Bethesda United Methodist Church.  The seminar begins with a covered dish meal at 6 p.m. on Feb. 1. Praise and worship at 7 p.m. will officially begin the training sessions. The seminar continues on Saturday morning at 9 a.m., to be completed Saturday night. There is a charge of $10 for the participant’s manual and a small charge for Saturday lunch.

There will also be a program for children, preschool through fifth grade, as well as a nursery for children under age four. Youth are invited to attend seminar classes with the adults.

Bethesda is located at 3608 Midland Rd., Guyton. The ‘Lord Teach Us to Pray’ seminar is led by a lay team and is sponsored by Aldersgate Renewal Ministries, an affiliate of the General Board of Discipleship of the United Methodist Church.

Everyone is invited to attend. Please call 728-3332 for information or to register.
