Mt. Carmel Deliverance Center held a groundbreaking service on Aug. 30.

This was a very special day for Pastor Julian Jones and the Mt. Carmel Deliverance Center church family. This was a great day of joy and celebration. There were numerous members in attendance to worship, sing praises and celebrate this momentous building project for the Lord.

Jones founded the ministry in 2003. The ministry started with only a few members, but has grown to well over one hundred members.

The goal of this ministry is to be a blessing to both the members and community by offering programs designed for the entire family: tutorial, health education, summer camp and various forms of counseling for the church family and community. Their goal is not only to add to their church membership but to improve the quality of life.

The new sanctuary will be at 200 Stokes Ave. in Rincon.
