St. Lukes holds Daughters of the King institution service

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Rincon recently held a service of institution for its chapter of Daughters of the King.

Mary Dawson, president of the Daughters of the King of Georgia, presented the charter to St. Luke’s president Barbara Smith and crosses to six new members — Francis Crow, Angela Bucy, Cathy Brock, Willi Moore, Diane Van Houtan and Maureen Robinson.

The Daughters of the King is an order for women of the Episcopal Church dedicated to the spreading of gospel through prayer and service.

Father David Rose officiated. Also present was Rev. Deacon Eddie Adkins.
