Warbirds Ball to bring out the stars

The Mighty 8th Air Force Museum’s annual Warbirds Ball will take place at the Museum on Sept. 6.

The theme is “Are the Stars Out Tonight?” and will feature many stars — some you know and some you don’t.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a champagne reception and silent auction, followed by dinner from Chef Matt Cohen and music from Jeremy Davis and the Equinox Jazz Orchestra.

“This event is not just about the museum,” said Dr. Walt Brown, museum president and CEO.  “We have added a new level to the sponsorships which gives corporations and individuals the opportunity to share the evening with our courageous military.

“In addition to the sponsor’s table of 10 guests, the sponsorship will also provide a table for our active duty military to enjoy the evening. This is a great way to say ‘thank you’ to the men and women who sacrifice for the United States everyday.”

All proceeds from the gala helps to support the Museum and its mission. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information on how to be part of the event of the year, contact Susan Eiseman at (912) 748-8888 ext. 124.
