Dickerson retiring after 32 years of service to US

Chief Master Sgt. Henry Dickerson, Chief of Safety at the Air Dominance Center, Georgia Air National Guard, is retiring with 32 years of service to his state and country. 

Dickerson, a resident of Guyton, joined the service in 1984 with the 165th Airlift Wing and worked in aircraft maintenance. He joined the safety office at the ADC in 1999.

Dickerson has served as a traditional Guardsman and has worked for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources as a conservation ranger. He currently works for the Effingham Board of Education.

Dickerson is a graduate of Effingham County High School, Georgia Southern University with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice and Valdosta State University with a Masters in Adult Career Technical Education.

Dickerson lives in Guyton with his wife Leslie, a Principal at Marlow Elementary School and has a son attending Ogeechee Technical College.
