Mr. and Mrs. James H. Betts of Tifton along with Mr. and Mrs. David Sexton of Springfield are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their children, Dara Katherine Betts and Daren Meliton Sexton.

The bride elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold D. Betts of New Castle, Ind., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wolf of Cincinnati, Ohio. She is a graduate of Tift County High School and Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science. She will graduate from Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in December with a Jurist Doctorate.

The groom elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Meliton Henry Betancourt of Simonton, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Alexander of Shawnee. He is a graduate of Effingham County High School and Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance. He is currently employed with Colonial Bank at their headquarters in Montgomery, Ala., were he is the secondary lines of insurance coordinator.

The couple was engaged in November of 2006. They will exchange their vows Nov. 24 in Savannah at 7:30 p.m. Rev. Thomas Rash and Rev. James D. Betts, brother of bride elect, will officiate. There will be a reception immediately following. All family and friends are invited to attend.  

The couple will honeymoon in Mexico and will reside in Canton.
