Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Exley of Springfield are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Layne Exley, to Adam Wayne Joyner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Joyner of Springfield.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Exley of Springfield, Mrs. Ruby Calloway of Sylvania and the late Mr. Ambrose Calloway. She is a 2005 graduate of Effingham County High School and a 2009 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education. She is currently employed by the Effingham County Board of Education at Blandford Elementary School and by the Curiosity Shoppe Jewelers.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Mrs. Shirley Horton of Rincon, the late Mr. William Horton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Franklin (Cheyenne) Joyner. He is a 2005 graduate of Effingham County High School and is currently employed by Gulfstream Aerospace.

The wedding is planned for June 5, 2010 at 4 p.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Springfield.
