Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kessler of Guyton are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Erica Joyce, to Ernest Lee Van Wagoner II, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Van Wagoner of Loganville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Steve Holmes and the late Mrs. Joyce Holmes of Hiawassee and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Kessler of Guyton. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from the Terry College of Business and is employed by Southern Progress in Birmingham, Ala.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Ms. Sue Blankenship of Ypsilanti, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. M.W. Blackwell of Ocala, Fla., Mrs. Alma Van Wagoner and the late Mr. Ernest Van Wagoner of Harrisville, Mich. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in management from Terry College of Business and is employed by Wachovia Corporation in Birmingham, Ala.

The wedding is planned for Oct. 6, 2007, at the State Botanical Garden Chapel in Athens.
