Jake and Pamela Poole of Springfield are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ariel Claudia Lester, to Phillip Edward Nash, son of Ron and Erain Nash of North Augusta, S.C.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Tillman of Ludowici. Ariel is a 2004 graduate of Effingham County High School. She also attended Armstrong Atlantic State University and South University and is a deputy clerk of court for the Columbia County Superior Court in Evans.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Edward and Nancy Nash of North Augusta, S.C., and Mrs. Helen Felton Kennedy of Augusta. Phillip is a 2003 graduate of North Augusta High School. He also attended Aiken Technical College and is employed by Southeast Pump Specialist of Augusta as a maintenance mechanic.

An evening wedding in April is planned on the lawn of the Turkey Branch Methodist Church in Effingham County. Dr. Jeffrey Rollins, senior pastor at First Baptist Church of Springfield, will perform the service.

After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple will make their home in North Augusta, S.C.
