Veterans, military to get discount at Mighty 8th

Come remember those who served the country today at the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum. All military veterans and active duty military will be recognized. Military veterans will receive a special admission rate of $5 to the Museum and active duty a rate of $6.

You also can see the Museum’s newest addition a WWII era B-17 bomber. The airplane named, “City of Savannah” is on display in the Museum’s Combat Gallery while undergoing a complete restoration.

Activated in 1942 in Savannah, the 8th Air Force was a critical strike element in World War II and remains an active force today. The Museum is located at 175 Bourne Ave. in Pooler, right off I-95 at Exit 102. For more information, visit www.mightyeighth.org or call 912-748-8888.
