SPRINGFIELD -- The Effingham County Board of Commissioners approved a rezoning request Tuesday night that paves the way for a warehouse complex on the southern edge of Rincon..

The request by Kern & Co. LLC to rezone 741-6 acres off Old Augusta Road from AR-1/R1 received 3-2 approval with conditions, including a designation for light industrial use only and the stipulation that the truck entrance be on Old Augusta Road.
