UPDATE: The Effingham County Sheriff Office released this statement at 10:26 a.m. Aug. 23: "The male victim, whose body was discovered on Clyo Kildare Road Sunday morning, has been identified as 34-year-old Latwon Mosby, of Savannah.

Investigators are still working to figure out exactly what happened to Mosby and who is responsible. This is still an active investigation.  

EFFINGHAM COUNTY -- Around 7 a.m. Aug. 20, an Effingham County Sheriff’s Office deputy discovered the body of a male victim at 2163 Clyo Kildare Rd.

The male victim was found with a gunshot wound.

The victim’s identity is being withheld until next of kin has been notified.
