RINCON -- On Thursday, DRT America donated $3.000 to the Rincon Fire Department to help it purchase rescue equipment.

The check presentation occurred after DRT America and the fire department conducted a joint mock fire drill. DRT America conducts annual drills to make sure its employees and first responders know what to do in case of an on-site emergency.

DRT America is located at the Gov. Treutlen Industrial site.

“DRT America is extremely grateful to the men and women who are first responders in our community, said Corey Schneider, president of DRT America.

DRT America utilizes natural renewable resources to produce ingredients used in flavors, fragrances and adhesives. The main raw material is turpentine. It has 250 end products used every day by consumers worldwide.
