Early voting is being conducted at the Board of Elections and Registration Office, 284 Ga. Hwy 119 South, Springfield on Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m-5 p.m. and Saturday, May 12 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Old Marlow Elementary School, 4752 Ga. Hwy 17 South, Guyton, will be open May 12 from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and May 14-18 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

May 22 is primary election day.

Georgia will elect a new governor this year and fill other statewide offices. Local races include Effingham County Board of Education Districts 1 and 4.

The general election is Nov. 6.
