Lamar Smith Signature Development will give away a red 2007 Pontiac Solstice convertible sports car at the conclusion of the upcoming 2007 Tri-County Parade of Homes sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Greater Savannah.

The Tri-County Parade of Homes, which runs through Sunday, will feature 165 homes by 68 builders in Bryan, Chatham and Effingham counties. Lamar Smith’s brand new Parkside neighborhood at Rice Hope in Port Wentworth will be featured as one of four Street of Dreams developments. Visitors to the neo-traditional homes will have a chance to enter a drawing for the sports car.

“What could be better than finding the home of your dreams and winning a new car at the same time?” said Smith, president and founder of Lamar Smith Signature Development.

The 15 model homes at Parkside will be open Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. The giveaway will be broadcast live on WJCL-TV on June 4. One member per family may enter.

Amenity rich and technologically advanced, Parkside at Rice Hope is situated around a unique circular master plan. The community is rich in landscape, with more than 200 live oak and 300 palm trees in the area. A four-acre park is at the center of the community and lakes grace the outskirts of the neighborhood.

Additional amenities of Parkside at Rice Hope include two playgrounds for children recreation fields, a neighborhood open-air pavilion, an oyster pit and an amphitheater. The community was pre-wired with a fiber-optic networking system for surround sound, security and high definition television.

Homes in the neighborhood range from two-bedroom, one-and-a-half bath carriage homes starting in the $1500s to four-bedroom, three and a half bath homes in the $500s.

“I have always strived for quality both in home construction and the sense of community that I try to foster in my developments,” said Smith. “But I have never been more proud than of what we’ve accomplished at Parkside. This is a true Street of Dreams.”
