Another Guyton resident has hit the jackpot.

Donnie “Donna” Dickey, 40, played the instant game Georgia’s $500 Million Club and won $1 million.

“I’m pretty lucky,” she said.

Dickey purchased the scratch off ticket at the El Cheapo on Highway 17 in Guyton. She scratched it off while still in her car.

“I couldn’t believe it,” Dickey said in a Georgia Lottery release. “I started screaming, of course.”

The $500 Million Club instant game offers over $500 million in cash prizes. The prize amounts range from $40 to $5 million. Each ticket costs $20, which is the most expensive of any of the instant games.

Another Guyton resident, Hedy English, won $50,000 in April by playing the Triple Diamonds instant game. She purchased her winning ticket at the Parker’s convenience store.

Dickey told Georgia Lottery officials she plans to use some of her winnings to buy a new car and a new house.

She declined an interview with the Herald.
