RINCON — Even though Ken Lee recently retired from the grocery business after 46 years, he never retired from customer service.

Lee's campaign for his fourth term as Rincon mayor is built with the needs of citizens in mind.

He said, "Sometimes people come up to me while I'm on the golf course or somewhere else and they'll say, 'I hate to talk to you about this,' but I tell them, 'Look. I'm a manager 24/7. I'm here if you want to talk to me. I think that's the kind of attitude you have to have.
"That has served me well as mayor because I am accustomed to dealing with people."

Lee said his Kroger experience developed him into a problem solver and a good listener.

"Sometimes people just want you to listen," he said. "Sometimes it's about conflict resolution and resolving problems reasonably to a good result. I've learned all that."
