Relying on a strong performance throughout the season from a group of veteran players, the Effingham County Middle School Panthers repeated as county champions with wins over Ebenezer Middle School and South Effingham Middle School. Key players on the offensive and defensive line this year were Robbie Garvin, Beaman King, D.J. Kirkland, Jason Floyd, Kameron Stokes, Xavier Dixon, Garrett Hodges and Jon Jackson. Key skill players who contributed to the success of this year’s team were Daquare Hunter, D’Angelo Housey, Stevie Robinson, A.J. Bird, Josh VanderArk, Omari Young, Marquise Frink, Darjuan Scroggins, Andrew Freeman, and Bryce Moore. The Panthers coaching staff is led by head coach Jason Napier.
