Effingham County split its soccer matches with Brunswick on Tuesday night.

In the girls game, the Lady Rebels continued their hot start with a 2-0 victory over the Lady Pirates, going to 2-0 in Region 3-AAAA. The Lady Rebels (3-1) fell 1-0 to Richmond Hill, ranked No. 8 in Class AAA, in the Wildcat Shootout last week.

The Rebels were scoreless at halftime with the Pirates before Brunswick took a 2-0 lead.

They tied the host Wildcats 1-1 in the Wildcat Shootout last week.

Effingham will host Ware County on March 7.
