Larry Hall (31), pictured here for the South Effingham Mustangs, currently is a running back at Rainy River Community College in International Falls, Minn.

Former South Effingham football standout Larry Hall is doing more than trying to stay warm in International Falls, Minn.

The former Mustang has become the feature running back for the Rainy River Community College Voyageurs.
The freshman has racked up 533 rushing yards, earned two conference of the week honors and helped lead his squad win two games in a row. Overall, the Voyageurs are 3-3.

“He’s been playing real strong football,” RRCC coach Tim Myles said. “He’s running the ball real hard and for a team that passes quite a bit, he’s added another dimension to our game. He gives us the ability to control games.”

Currently, Hall leads the Minnesota Community College Conference Northern Division in rushing.

Hall earned player of the week honors for his 183-yard rushing performance in Rainy River’s 24-6 win over Ridgewater on Sept. 22. He also won the award after rushing for 192 yards in a 26-24 win over Central Lakes on Sept. 29.
