Football
Tovar Allen (Alabama State University) — Allen, a senior offensive lineman, did not play in the Hornets’ 37-23 win over Grambling. Alabama State (6-5, 5-4) hosted Stillman on Saturday in the regular-season finale. He has started once this year, against Prairie View A&M.


Women’s soccer
Sydnie Van Curen (Georgia Southern University) — Van Curen’s college career ended with a 3-0 loss to South Alabama in the Sun Belt Conference tournament semifinals. She had one goal and two assists, playing in all 19 games and starting 13 of them.

Marisa Hamm (University of South Carolina-Beaufort) — Hamm’s junior year ended as the Sand Sharks fell 3-1 to the Savannah College of Art and Design in The Sun Conference tournament quarterfinals. She played in 18 games, getting one start.


Basketball
Men’s
Demontrez Austin (South Georgia State College) — Austin has signed with Kennesaw State University. He is scoring 11.9 points per game and pulling down 11.6 rebounds per game through seven contests.

DeQuincey Bennett (Johnson and Wales University) — A senior, Bennett is averaging 12 points per game, connecting on 76.9 percent of his free throws and 36.4 percent of his 3-point attempts. He is also averaging 2.8 points per game.

Jakeenan Gant (University of Missouri) — The top-ranked signee for the Tigers has not played this season, as his eligibility is under review, according to the school. He did not accompany the team on their trip to Maui.

Tanner Reid (East Georgia College) — In six games, Reid is averaging 5.8 points per game.

DeAundray Rhett (South Georgia State College) — Rhett is scoring 9.7 points per game and also is averaging 5.4 rebounds a game.

Ryan Wilkins (Middle Georgia State College) — Wilkins had 11 points in the 76-59 win over Fort Valley State for the Knights (2-2). He had 24 in a season-opening win over Voorhees (S.C.), going 5-of-8 from 3-point range.

Jay Wright (University of Louisiana) — Wright is averaging 3 points and 3 assists per game for the Ragin’ Cajuns, who are 1-1.


Women’s
Jakayvea Akins (Georgia Southern University) — Akins has two points and two steals in two games for the Lady Eagles, who are 1-1. She had nine points in a 114-60 win over Coastal Georgia in a preseason exhibition game.

Hannah Anderson (Converse College) — A sophomore forward, Anderson grabbed one rebound in the Lady Valkyries’ 59-50 win over Bob Jones University.

Tianna Germain (Kennesaw State University) — A freshman guard for the Owls, Germain had 10 points in an exhibition win over Emory but has yet to see action in the regular season. Kennesaw State is 2-1.

Machala Raymonville (Armstrong State University) — Raymonville has played in all three games, starting one, and is averaging 8.3 points per game, along with 5.7 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. She scored 23 points in a 107-44 rout of Trinity Baptist.

Aliyah Williams (LaGrange College) — A freshman guard, Williams has played in two of the Panthers’ three games but has not scored.
