Rebels smash Terrors, take 2-AAAAAA series

The Effingham County Rebels (16-4, 2-1) completely dominated Glynn Academy in baseball Friday.

The Rebels pounded out 15 hits in an 11-2 Region 2-AAAAAA rout at Rebel Field. Jerid Stokes and Austin Mealor led the hit parade with three base knocks apiece.

Christian Campbell, Jordan Rahn and Chandler Hinely each added two hits. JR Lonon paced Effingham County in RBI with three.

The Rebels built a 6-0 ;lead in the first three frames and tacked on five more in the fifth.

Garrett Miller went the distance on the mound, allowing four hits. He struck out two and walked four.

The Rebels took the series 2-1. The Terrors won the opener 5-4 and Rebels claimed the middle game 4-2.
