Reddick is Drive's leading hitter

Former South Effingham High School star Josh Reddick leads the Greenville Drive in batting, hitting .317, despite hitting only .214 in his last 10 games.

Monday, Reddick had a good day at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a triple and two RBIs in the Drive’s 7-6 loss to Augusta.

He went 1-for-5 Wednesday in a 13-3 loss to Kannapolis and Thursday he went 0-for-4 in a 10-8 loss to Kannapolis.
For the season, he has 20 RBIs and four stolen bases.

Fellow former South Effingham standout Austin Chambliss was roughed up Monday in Tri-City’s 10-9 loss to Boise.
Chambliss gave up three runs and four hits in one inning.

He pitched a third of an inning in a 3-2 win over Spokane.

For the season, Chambliss is 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA. He has 14 strikeouts and four walks in eight games. Opponents are hitting .308 against him.

Rincon resident Jason Shiell is 0-3 with a 5.21 ERA for the Triple-A Omaha Royals. He has not pitched since July 5.
