Effingham County High School valedictorian Hannah Boyd was honored last weekend at Governor Nathan Deal’s valedictorian luncheon.

Each year, the governor invites all the valedictorians from across the state to his home for a light lunch and a tour of the governor’s mansion. About 1,100 valedictorians attended this year’s luncheon.
