SAVANNAH — Ana Avila from Springfield has received a Goizueta Scholarship from Armstrong State University for the 2014-15 academic year.

Through a grant from the Goizueta Foundation, Armstrong awards Hispanic/Latino students a one-year scholarship toward tuition and fees at the university, regardless of their residency status.

Although award amounts vary each year, the scholarship pays for up to 90 percent of in-state or out-of-state tuition and fees at the university, in accordance to each student’s financial aid need.
