Carole Haynie and Olin D. King

Olin D. King and Carole Haynie King will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 10, 2009.  They were married on Dec. 28, 1958, at Robert McIntire United Methodist Church in Savannah.

Olin D. King is employed by Elliott Sawmilling Company, Inc. He served in the U.S. Navy and has been employed in the timber industry for many years.

Carole is a graduate of H.V. Jenkins High School in Savannah.  She became a homemaker and mother of four.

Olin and Carole are the parents of Mark (wife Tonya) King, Selina King (husband Charlie) Holt, Amelia King (husband Bill) Bomar and Johnny (wife Amanda) King.  They have 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The Kings are active members of Countryside Baptist Church in Guyton. They enjoy attending church, traveling, spending time with their grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many family gatherings throughout the year.

To honor this special occasion they invite family and friends to attend their 50th wedding anniversary reception at The New Ebenezer Retreat Center, Mildred D. Kessler Learning Center, on Saturday, Jan. 10 at 4 p.m.
