Mr. and Mrs. Jim Long recently celebrated 50 years of marriage with family and friends.

Mary Will and Jim were married on Sept. 27, 1958, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Springfield by Rev. Bill Carr.

They have two sons, Brad and Bruce; four grandchildren, Brandon, Tiffany, Mallory and Colton; and two daughter-in-laws, Stephanie and Kristie.

The couple is now retired having both been educators in the Effingham County School System.
