Lenten Services
Pastor Joseph Copeck and the congregation of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church invite you to attend the Lenten Services. Wednesday night’s Lenten services with a light meal will be held at 6:15 p.m. The Maundy Thursday Service with Holy Communion will be held April 21 at 7:30 p.m. The Good Friday service will be April 22 at 7:30 p.m.
Jerusalem Lutheran Services
Jerusalem Lutheran Church will be holding Wednesday evening worship services during the season of Lent after a soup and sandwich supper at 6:15 p.m. Worship will begin at 7 p.m. Jerusalem will honor Maundy Thursday with the celebration of Holy Communion on April 21 at 7 p.m. The Good Friday service will be April 22 at 7 p.m.
Holy Week Services
St. Boniface Church, Springfield, will begin its annual observance of Holy Week with Palm Sunday Masses at 5 p.m. on April 16 and at 8:30 and 11 a.m. on Palm Sunday. The solemn procession will precede the 11 a.m. Mass. Palms will be distributed at each Mass. A communal penance service with individual confession will be offered April 18 at 7 p.m. The Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated on Holy Thursday, April 21, at 7 p.m. followed by adoration at the altar of repose until midnight. The Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion will be observed on Good Friday, April 22, at 7 p.m. The Easter Vigil and Mass will be celebrated on Holy Saturday, April 23, at 8:30 p.m. There will be no 5 p.m. Mass. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Easter Sunday, April 24, at 8:30 and 11 a.m. All are welcome. Contact the parish office at 754-7473 for details.
Easter Egg Hunt
St. John’s Lutheran Church will hold an Easter egg hunt and pancake breakfast with the Easter Bunny on April 16. The cost is $4 per adult and $3 per child.

Rincon Community Holy Week
The annual Rincon Community Holy Week services will be held at Rincon Church of God from April 18-22 at 12:05 p.m. each day. Service will be followed by a light lunch at the church’s family life center. Rincon Church of God is on Highway 21 North. This year’s theme is “Portraits of Christ’s Passion from the Gospel of John.” Speakers will be: April 18, Rev. Mike Beck, Maranatha Assembly of God, “The King and Servant”; April 19, Rev. Mary Beene, Faith Presbyterian Church, “The Consoler and Friend”; April 20, Rev. Lyle Wood, Savannah Christian Church-Effingham Campus, “The Giver of the Holy Spirit”; April 21, Rev. Charles Hodges, Grace Community Church, “The Great Intercessor”; April 22, Rev. Larry Bird, “The Uplifted Savior.” The Rincon community sunrise service will be April 24 at 6:45 a.m. at the Jerusalem Lutheran Church outdoor amphitheater. Rev. Wayne Merritt of Rincon Church of God will deliver the sermon, “The Conqueror of Death.”

Rincon Baptist Temple will hold its annual Easter musical, “Believe,” on April 22 at 7 p.m. and April 24 at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free. The church is at 305 Weisenbaker Rd. in Rincon. For more information, call 826-5818.

Centerpoint Community Church will hold an Easter egg hunt April 23 at 11 a.m. at Jaycee Park in Rincon. Lunch will be served after the egg hunt. Jaycee Park is on Highway 21 adjacent to the Rincon Library.

Zion Lutheran Church will host an Easter egg hunt on April 23 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. There will be a special project, special story time and snacks. Everyone is invited to attend. The Great Easter Vigil service will begin April 23 at 8:30 p.m. at the Jerusalem Lutheran Church. This service marks the beginning of the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Sunrise Service
Grace Community Church will hold its first Easter sunrise service April 24 at 6:15 a.m. Breakfast will be served at 7 a.m., followed by regularly scheduled Sunday school at 9:15 a.m. and Easter worship service at 10:30 a.m. The church is at 1094 Goshen Rd.

A sunrise service sponsored by the Rincon area church will be held on the Jerusalem Lutheran Church grounds Easter morning at 6:45 a.m. A breakfast will be served after the service. The main service of Easter with the celebration of Holy Communion will begin at 11 a.m. The church is located at 2966 Ebenezer Road in Rincon.
Guyton Sunrise Service
The Guyton community Easter sunrise service will be held April 24 at 7 p.m. at Guyton Christian Church, 105 3rd St. Emmett Belogorska will be the lay speaker. The Christian Men’s Fellowship will serve breakfast following the service. Bring clothing for outdoors and lawn chairs, and canned or dry goods for the Guyton community food pantry.
