Fireworks shows in the area

If you didn’t get your fill of fireworks last Friday night at Rincon’s Freedom Rings event, there are plenty of aerial pyrotechnical shows coming in the next couple of days.

The 3rd Infantry Division Rock Band will perform for the Hunter Army Airfield military community at Hunter Army Airfield at 8:30 p.m. Thursday followed by a fireworks show.

Richmond Hill will have its annual Red, White and Blue celebration Friday from 5-9:30 p.m. at J.F. Gregory Park, with live music, a farmer’s market, fishing and ending with a fireworks display. There also will be an Old-Fashioned Independence Day celebration at Fort McAllister on Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Tybee Island’s fireworks show will be Friday night, with a 45-minute extravaganza set to start somewhere around 9:15 p.m. at the Tybee Pier and Pavilion.

The Savannah Waterfront Association will stage the annual River Street Fourth of July fireworks show Saturday at the end of the festivities. Events kick off at 4 p.m. on River Street, and fireworks will start just after 9 p.m.

Statesboro’s fireworks show will be Saturday at approximately 9 p.m. at Mill Creek Regional Park, concluding the annual Firecracker Fest. Visit bullochrec.com for more information.
