VALDOSTA — It has been a summer the kids won’t soon forget as Kidzpalooza caps off its final weekend with a concert from the wildly popular Raven-Symone on Aug. 2.

Raven-Symone captured the hearts of television audiences across the nation when she debuted as the cute-as-a-button “Olivia” on the popular comedy, “The Cosby Show.”

From there she launched a highly successful career that has encompassed television, the big screen, concert stages and even producing her own projects.

Her biggest role came as one of The Cheetah Girls, which started out as simply a Disney Channel original movie, but quickly turned into platinum-selling soundtracks and one of the biggest concert tours to hit the stage. During this time, she was also cast as the title role of the hit series “That’s So Raven,” which ran for five years.

Her latest film release, out this year, was “College Road Trip,” a movie in which she not only starred but produced. Her fourth album, self-titled “Raven-Symone,” also came out in 2008. The number of albums seems low, but she has appeared on numerous soundtracks for the shows and movies she has been involved with. Hit singles include “Double Dutch Bus,” “That’s What Little Girls Are Made Of,” “Back Flip,” “With a Child’s Heart” and “Bump.”

The concert tops off the last weekend of Kidzpalooza’s “Ocean Adventures,” featuring such shows as “Sea Lion Splash,” “Shark Encounter,” “Sting Ray Experience” and more. Don’t miss this last chance to enjoy the festival that has entertained thousands this summer

The fun starts at 7 p.m. with an opening act. The concert is included in the price of park admission and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to set up.
