Santa arrives at Savannah Mall Saturday

SAVANNAH — Savannah Mall’s Holiday Train and Santa’s Castle open this Saturday at 10 a.m., welcoming Santa’s arrival to Savannah Mall.

Santa’s festive castle is this year’s happy scene.

“A new feature this year, in addition to children’s photos with Santa, is pet photos.  Every Sunday families may bring their pets — normal, domestic pets, that is — to have their own photo with Santa Claus,” said Senea Crystal, Savannah Mall marketing manager.

Santa’s Castle is located in the Burlington Coat Factory /Target court and the Holiday Train is in the mall’s enlarged center court.

Through its invitation to “Discover More,” in 2008 the southside mall has reiterated its eagerness to open wide its doors to help promote community non-profits and serve as a neighborly gathering place.

“This holiday season Savannah Mall encourages shoppers to discover more ways for thoughtful gift-giving not only with those we know, but thoughtful giving to those in need,” Crystal said. “One easy way to do that is for shoppers to have their presents wrapped at the Greenbriar Gift Wrapping Center located near the Children’s Soft Play Area in Savannah Mall. All the proceeds go to the Greenbriar Children’s Center in Savannah.”

Crystal reminds that Savannah Mall Gift Cards make a thoughtful, stress-free gift-giving solution. Contact the mall’s customer service to purchase gift cards and for information regarding extended shopping hours call (912) 927-7467.

According to the recently released Deloitte holiday survey, gift cards will be the number one gift choice for the sixth year running.
