A team of 13 Effingham County residents recently helped in the fight against breast cancer by participating in the Susan G. Komen Savannah Race for the Cure. Team Effingham Saving Second Base raised more than $1,000, and donations can still be made through the Susan G. Komen Web site.

Attorneys at Law, Hair Tenders, Phillips Floor Covering, Wiley’s Home Center, Fraser’s Lawn Service, Winkler Construction, Glaze Salon Spa Bar, Genesis Photography, Chatham Oral Surgery, Gold Buyers of Savannah and Advance Pressure Wash.

The team plans to participate in the Race for the Cure again next year.
