Mr. and Mrs. W. David Gnann Jr. of Springfield are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Fallon Gnann, to David Scott Hirsch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven J. Hirsch of Narragansett, R.I.  

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gnann Sr. of Springfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cates of Rincon.  Miss Gnann is a 2002 graduate of Savannah Country Day School and received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Environmental Studies from The University of the South at Sewanee.  She received her Juris Doctor from Georgia State University in May 2009.  

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Max Hirsch of Bloomfield, N.J., and Mr. Myer Jarcho of Boynton Beach, Fla., and the late Mrs. Sylvia Jarcho.  Mr. Hirsch graduated from Cranston High School West in 2000.

He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and his Juris Doctor from Emory University. He is an associate with Hinckley, Allen and Snyder, LLP in Hartford, Conn.  

The wedding is planned for April 2010 at Forsyth Park in Savannah.
