Mr. and Mrs. John Patnaude, along with her parents, Barney Patnaude of Springfield and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hayes of Tampa, Fla., announce the engagement of their granddaughter, Renee’ Elizabeth Patnaude, to Andrew Jennings Prescott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Val Prescott and Mr. Robbie Sellars and Mrs. Dawn Prescott.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Alice Buchanan and the late Mr. Richard Buchanan of Virginia Beach, Va., the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Joe Ollie Steed and the late Mr. Owen Steed. She is a 2006 graduate of Effingham County High School and attended East Georgia College.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Joan Prescott and the late Mr. Bernard Prescott of Sardis, Mr. Tom Jennings and the late Mrs. Faye Jennings of Swainsboro. He is a 2005 graduate of Effingham County High School. He is currently serving in the U.S. Coast Guard and is stationed in Port O’Connor, Texas.

The wedding is set for Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. at Springfield United Methodist Church. All family and friends are invited to attend.
