Hursey awarded Cross of Military Service

CW2 Marcus Alfred Hursey was recently honored as the recipient of the Global War on Terrorism-Afghanistan Service medal by the Effingham County Hussars, Chapter 2285, United Daughters of the Confederacy. All recipients of the award must be of lineal descent of a CSA (Confederate States of America) soldier and have served during a war or conflict for the U.S. within certain dates.

Hursey served the U.S. Army in the Global War on Terrorism and is a lineal descendant of Cletus Gnann, who served in CSA
