Georgia Heritage FCU offers free financial seminar

Georgia Heritage FCU members and the public are invited to attend “Financial First Aid to Survive the Holidays,” a free educational seminar set for Oct. 12 at the credit union. 
 
Skye Tyler, Education Coordinator at Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS), will present tips, tricks and ideas on how to prepare a holiday spending — and savings — plan. Topics will include understanding credit, building a budget, and shopping for bargains. CCCS provides quality financial literacy to education and empower local citizens. There is no cost to attend the free educational seminar and a meal will be provided.
 
“Financial First Aid to Survive the Holidays” will be held from 6-7:30 p.m., Oct. 12, at Georgia Heritage Credit Union, 1085 West Lathrop Ave., outside the gates of International Paper. Seating is limited.
